Dingy Poker Run

at Harbor Light Yacht Club

On July 7, 2007 Harbor Light Yacht Club hosted it's first Annual Dinghy
Poker Run. It was a nice, hot sunny day with approximately 45 card players.
We had about 15 dinghy's running behind Tinicum Island. We all gathered at
11 AM at Harbor Light Yacht Club for Registration of the dinghy's. Each
player got a card to get marked as they hit each stop. At each stop they
were to recieve an envelope with their playing card in it. They were not to
open it until the final stop.
The first stop was located just North of Harbor Light Yacht Club at the
beginning of the no wake zone at Jimmy Anderson's boat Rock'N N Reel'N. The
dinghy's left Jimmy's boat and went to the other end of the island just off
of West End Boat Club to Kevin Huntley's boat Nasty Boy. The next stop was
the West End Boat club, where everyone got there together, got their cards
and sat down and relaxed with a drink and some food. The next stop was
Riverside Yacht Club. We all received our cards and hung out around there
for some more good times. The final stop and where the cards were handled
was at Harbor Light Yacht Club where we had our hot dog and hamburger
picnic.
Throughout the day on each stop, everyone used their water guns, and water
balloons. It was a great day for a water fight on the hot sunny day.

The final winners were as followed:
Robin - $200.00 First Place
PJ McTiernan - $100.00 Second Place
Joey Gricco - $50.00 Third Place
Ted Archer Jr. - $50.00 Fourth Place


We want to thank all of you who participated in this event, it was a huge
success. The clubs were very hospitable, and the people made it a great day.
We hope that this will grow to be an annual dinghy poker run! Thank you to
everyone again!
